Dr. Tom Pinkson, “tomás“, is a transpersonal psychologist in private practice who helped start the second hospice program in the United States and has served as a Clinical Consultant to the Center for Attitudinal Healing in Sausalito, CA since 1977 working with children, adults and families facing life threatening illness. In 1993, he completed an eleven year shamanic apprenticeship with Huichol shamans in Mexico, initiating him into the world of shamanism.
His books include “The Shamanic Wisdom of the Huichol: Medicine Teachings for Modern Times” “Do They Celebrate Christmas in Heaven? (Spiritual Rite of Passage Teachings from Children with Life-Threatening Illness)” “Fruitful Aging: Finding the Gold in the Golden Years” and “The Flowers of Wiricuta: A Journey to Shamanic Power with the Huichol Indians of Mexico.”
